Sagem, a Safran group company, has unveiled the Spider C3I (command, control, communications and intelligence) system for military vehicles at Eurosatory 2010 in Paris.

The Spider incorporates a digital map that evaluates tactical situations, manages onboard sensors, provides rangefinding information and controls the transmission of image-based intelligence over tactical radio networks.

At the defence exhibition, Sagem also unveiled various digital battlefield solutions including the Storm fire control system intended for self-propelled or towed artillery, lightweight versatile weapon scope Sword Light and handheld tactical infrared imager Matis HH.

Other combat technologies include long-range infrared imager Matis XM and advanced sighting system ODIN for 12.7mm machine guns and 20mm cannons.
