Bulgaria is deciding whether or not to purchase eight Desert Cat cross-country military vehicles from Israel, after the abilities of two types of all-terrain military vehicles were demonstrated in front of Bulgarian Defence Minister Nikolay Mladenov.

The eight cross-country vehicles, four of each kind, are expected to be supplied to Bulgaria in March 2010.

During the recent visit of the Bulgarian prime minister to Israel, the nations discussed options for Israeli fighter pilot training at Bulgarian air bases.

Mladenov is expected to sign a memorandum of military cooperation with his Israeli counterpart, Ehud Barak, shortly.
