US Names Terrorism Support Provider

The US Army has awarded a contract to CACI International to continue its support services for the army's Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD).

Under the $75m contract the company will provide engineering and technical support to assist the I2WD in developing and deploying systems that enhance the capabilities of soldiers to fight global terrorism.

In addition, CACI will help the I2WD to engineer, develop, test and deploy state-of-the-art prototype systems to soldiers, evaluate commercial technologies, mission applications, modify current systems and support military missions in a controlled operational setting.

The contract has a base period of two years with two option years.

CACI has been assisting I2WD through the technical engineering support services (TESS) contract for 21 years.
