L-3 Acquires Northrop's EOS Business

L-3 Communications is to acquire Northrop Grumman's Electro-Optical Systems (EOS) business for US$175m cash.

The deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter, is anticipated to generate US$190m in sales for L-3.

EOS manufactures night-vision technology and electro-optical products for the military and commercial sectors.
