The US Department of Defence has extended and increased the value of its Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) II contract with Savi.
Savi, a Lockheed Martin business, received an initial contract for provision of RFID technology and services in 2003.
The contract has been extended until January 2009 and increases the ceiling from US$60m to US$483m.
This is the second contract extension and the third price ceiling increase.
