BAE Transfers Warhead Design To MBDA

21 January 2008 14:15

BAE Systems has transferred its warhead design capabilities to guided weapons firm MBDA as part of a strategy to retain UK knowledge in the country.

The transfer, which will see BAE warhead design engineers move to MBDA, is in keeping with the UK's Defence Industrial Strategy and Defence Technology Strategy papers, MBDA says.

The deal does not include intellectual property rights and BAE will retain manufacturing capabilities.
