L-3 Communications has won a follow-on production contract to build three additional US army Aviation Combined Arms Tactical (AVCATT) suites.
AVCATT enables multiple training simulation suites to be networked and can also be networked with the US army's Close Combat Tactical Trainer system and other virtual simulators.
The first AVCATT will be delivered in January 2009, followed by another in March and one in May.
L-3 has already delivered 15 AVCATT suites to the US army, army national guard and army reserve.
