General Dynamics Wins Abrams Support Contract

The US Army has awarded General Dynamics a US$49m contract for technical support services for the M1 Abrams main battle tank.

General Dynamics will conduct engineering studies to determine ways to improve the M1 Abrams and replace obsolete parts.

The work will be done by General Dynamics Land Systems in Michigan and is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.
