EADS Defence & Security has won a €23m contract to build a system demonstrator for the German military's planned Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Network (Joint ISR).
Joint ISR will form a central part of a new communications and information network being developed by the German military.
"The integration of Joint ISR into the architecture of this network is vital for information superiority and decision dominance," EADS says
The system demonstrator will be ready by mid-2011.
