InterSense has announced the integration of its IS-900 precision motion tracking system into L-3 Link Simulation and Training’s Advanced Helmet Mounted Display (AHMD) system for the US Army’s Flight School XXI Reconfigurable Collective Training Devices (RCTDs).

Intersense says the embedded motion tracking sensors, MiniTrax, reduce weight and significantly improve overall system performance.

The AHMD, which supports both virtual training and augmented operational reality, attaches to the user’s own helmet.

Image alignment controls ensure users obtain optimum display viewing and provide a 360 degree field-of-regard of both out-the window imagery and systems symbology, InterSense says.
