General Dynamics Acquires Mediaware

General Dynamics has purchased Australian digital video processing company Mediaware International for an undisclosed sum.

Mediaware produces the digital Video Exploitation System (D-VEX), which provides an end-to-end solution for real-time video processing and exploitation of full-motion video from airborne electro-optical and infrared sensors and sources.

General Dynamics says Mediaware will complement the company's existing full-motion and related geospatial intelligence products.

Mediaware will operate under General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.
