Cubic Wins Training Systems Contract

Cubic Corporation, the defense segment of Cubic Corp, has won a US Army contract worth $6.8m for its Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 (EST 2000) small arms training system for use in Iraq and Afghanistan.

EST 200 teaches marksmanship skills, squad-level collective defence and judgemental 'shoot-don't shoot' tactics.

The system trains soldiers in the use of small arms, the 50-caliber M-2 machine gun and the 40mm Mark-19 grenade launcher.
