UQM Technologies is to supply propulsion systems for a diesel-electric hybrid version of the US Army's Alternative Mobility Vehicle, 'The Aggressor'.
The Aggressor, which is currently under development by Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, is a light-duty off-road vehicle.
Quantum will integrate UQM propulsion motors and electronic controls into its advanced JP-8 compatible, diesel hybrid electric propulsion system to be used in pre-production prototype vehicles, which will then be tested to assess mission suitability, supportability, performance objectives and guidance on final vehicle configuration.
UQM is a developer and manufacturer of power dense, high-efficiency electric motors, generators and power electronic controllers for the automotive, aerospace, medical, military and industrial markets.
