Rockwell Collins to Purchase ITAC

Rockwell Collins is to buy all outstanding shares of Information Technology and Applications Corporation (ITAC) for $38m.

ITAC is a privately-held engineering and products company that provides intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and communications solutions.

It focuses on the development of cutting-edge capabilities for war fighters and facilitates access to, and use of, near real-time geospatial intelligence and other mission-critical information.

The deal is not expected to have any material effect on Rockwell Collins' financial performance for 2007 and 2008.
