DRS Technologies Wins Contract for US Army Vehicle Computer Systems15 August 2007 11:22 DRS Technologies has won a $131m contract to provide the US Army with Applique computer systems for its Force XXI Battle Command, Brigade and Below (FBCB2) / Blue Force Tracking (BFT) programmes. The FBCB2 / BFT programmes aim to deliver digital battle command and control information systems providing commanders and soldiers with real-time information, allowing for better command and enhanced situational awareness. The computer systems, which will provide better graphics processing, data handling and system networking capabilities, will be installed on more than 40 types of army vehicles.
