CPU Technology and BAE Systems to Develop Virtual Combat Systems Vehicle

28 June 2007 12:01

CPU Technology and BAE Systems are to develop a virtual model of BAE's Bradley Combat Systems vehicle.

The model, which will run on CPU's new SystemLab platform simulator, will enable engineering teams networked together to have complete visibility inside the electronics of the entire vehicle during real-time software execution.

BAE Systems' vice president for Bradley Combat Systems Andy Hove says the technology will allow the US Army and BAE to 'systematically control and manage obsolescence mitigation, capability enhancements, technology refresh and life-cycle support of Bradley systems'.

The collaboration is being funded by the US Army TACOM life cycle management command.
