Georgia will participate in the upcoming Viking-2011 computer-simulated war games as part of the Nato Partnership for Peace (PfP) programme, the Georgian Defence Ministry has said.
Viking-2011 is a major joint peacekeeping exercise that involves military and civilian personnel from 24 Nato and partner countries.

The activities in the exercise are simulated through computers and role-played by personnel through the PfP simulation network.
The simulated exercise is modelled on current conflict environments and is aimed to deepen cooperation, interoperability and credibility between Nato / PfP countries during peace support and crisis response operations.
Sweden will be the main organiser of the exercise which will be conducted at Vaziani military base, Tbilisi, Georgia.
