Defence and security firm Saab has awarded a contract to Meopta – optika, s.r.o., a producer of optical devices based in the Czech Republic, to produce optical components for BAE Systems’ CV90 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV).

Meopta will produce and supply components for the universal tank and anti-aircraft fire control system of the CV90 vehicle.

Cubic Global Defense, a unit of Cubic Corporation, has received a contract worth $61m to provide support services for the US Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC).

The company will support the JRTC in conducting rotational and pre-deployment training exercises within decisive action and theatre-specific operational environments.

Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command, the contract includes a one-year base period and four optional years.
