This report is a strategy for gearing the UK for a new age of uncertainty by weighing up the threats faced, and need to be prepared to be able to act quickly and effectively to address new and evolving threats to our security.

The National Security Strategy alongside the Strategic Defence and Security Review will mobilise the whole of the UK Government behind the protection of the country's security interests as well as describe how to equip armed forces, police and intelligence agencies to tackle current and future threats as effectively as those of the past.
