Pursue, Prevent, Protect, Prepare: The UK's 2009 Strategy for Countering International Terrorism
16 April 2010This 2009 white paper from the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) sets out the country's strategy for dealing with the threat of global terrorism.
The UK's strategy for countering international terrorism deals not only with the current problems facing the country, but also with how to prepare for the future and prevent another terrorist attack like the 7 July bombings.
The four main themes of this study are pursuing, preventing, protecting and preparing for all types of attack including those involving chemical, biological or nuclear weapons.
With such an unquantifiable issue as global terrorism, it is important to be aware of the current situation but to also keep an eye on the potential problems in the future.
