Rapid Deployment of Bulk Fuel Installations

During the last two years AMA has been a key partner and support to the logistics operations of peacekeeping missions in the Sudan. Our company delivered, installed and commissioned all bulk fuel installation needed in this operation. The concept of rapid deployment of bulk fuel installations combines collapsible tanks (bladders) with adequate pumping and fuel filtering systems. Approximately 25 sites were commissioned by our technicians with a total installed storage capacity for diesel and jet fuel of approximately 13 million litres.

One key component in this bulk fuel installations is our Aviation Fuel Trailer (AFT), designed for handling jet fuel in the field in remote areas. The AFT is connected to a set of bladders of various capacities from 45m³ to 250m³, and allows fuel receipt from a road tanker, fuel receipt from fuel carrying aircraft, fuel transfer and filtration within the installation (bladder to bladder and / or tank to tank), fuel transfer to a tanker, and refuelling of aircrafts.
