OMAR was founded in 1975, for the purpose of transforming industrial vehicles and construction of special vehicle bodies.

In 1982, acting on a specific request made by the Carabinieri's General Headquarters, the company built the first truck-draw helicopter transport trailer together with other helicopter transport trailers.
