10 March 2010This white paper presents Brazil's aims for the reorganisation and reorientation of its armed forces by creating a detailed plan to determine the country's course of actions. Strategic guidelines and conceptual discussions are reflected in the paper that will help the country to reorganise the armed forces and defence industry.
Monitoring and controlling strategies for Brazilian air space, territory and waters are also emphasised in the paper allowing the defence department to understand the current technological and operational capabilities of the three defence forces.
The paper suggests that the Brazil Government unify the operations of the three defence branches by combining the Ministry of Defence Staff into a joint staff. It systematically formulates the implementation steps to be made as part of progress towards the goal and tabulates the necessary tasks to be carried out by the concerned ministry along with their scheduled completion dates.
