PALFINGER MILITARY CRANES

A unique outrigger locking system (PALFINGER interlock system) and a special crane geometry with high slewing torques ensure safe and efficient work of PALFINGER military cranes in off-road areas. The unique combination of crane geometry and minimal installation space are prerequisites for military operation all around the globe.

The loading height for the Hercules, like a C130 aircraft, is severely restricted. PALFINGER solves this problem by means of compact design with short and foldable crane columns. Internally incorporated extension cylinders also guarantee protection and compactness.

The wide range of duties required by cranes in the military environment – transport and supply, bridge building and assembly, maintenance and repair, recovery, environmental and disaster duty – are matched by the wide-ranging solutions offered by PALFINGER's military cranes.

PALFINGER PALIFT provides, with the SCORPION models, efficient military support to the logistic demands for many different missions and in all climates around the globe. More than 35 years' experience in hookloader projects results in customised and individual solutions to meet the different demands of the different forces around the globe. With a capacity range of 2t up to 36t, multifunctionality is guaranteed.

Load-handling systems from PALFINGER comply to STANAG, ISO and DIN standards (e.g. length of container can vary due to options like having horizontal hookarm movement; STANAG platforms standard according to NATO agreement; and containers according to DIN as well as special applications).

MOBILE TRUCK MOUNTED FORKLIFTS

PALFINGER CRAYLER has different models for different applications. Designed to ANSI standards and FOPS and ROPS tested, the forklift from the PALFINGER company meets all the safety requirements and also offers the user the best possible operating convenience (such as excellent ground clearance), which is an important precondition for military applications.

The CRAYLER BM is a remote controlled truck mounted forklift which complies to to EMC requirements EN 13309:2000 and EN 60950-1:2001, has lifting capacity options from 1,500kg up to 2,100kg, and is available with two and four-wheel drive. Transport in a Hercules C130, a helicopter or ISO container is all possible.

Lifting capacity options from 1,500kg up to 2,500kg (3,000kg for the CRAYLER CR) and lifting mast heights up to 3.7m are characteristics of the CRAYLER F3 and CR truck mounted forklift. The centred seat position on the CRAYLER F3 and CR models protects the operator from any danger while offering perfect surround visibility.
