OFF-ROAD MEDIUM TACTICAL TRUCK

Oshkosh Defense has developed a smaller, lighter, off-road vehicle to respond to the increasing demand to move military supplies and equipment faster. The Medium Tactical Truck (MTT) is one of the few lightweight trucks tough enough to bear the Oshkosh® name.

The MTT follows in the advanced design applied to some of the most durable, reliable and technically sophisticated military trucks in the world – the Oshkosh HEMTT and PLS. The vehicle leverages many of the same field-proven components, such as a 220hp diesel engine utilised extensively in commercial applications, a chassis inspired by the combat-proven Marine Corps MTVR, and an Oshkosh transfer case designed specifically for this application.

Available in the lightweight (4x4) and medium (6x6) variants, the MTT is extremely mobile, lightweight and affordable. Yet the MTT's off-road performance puts it in a class of vehicles all its own. The rear tandem axles have driver-controlled, inter-axle and intra-axle differential locks, enabling the MTT to move wherever the battle demands.

The MTT fords up to 1.2m (4ft) of water, travels at 104km/h (65mph) on paved surfaces and will operate in climatic extremes from -31°C to 52°C (-22°F to 126°F). The vehicle can also traverse a 60% gradient and a 30% side-slope with its maximum-rated cross-country load.
