TACOM-approved humvee winch kits

Mile Marker has a TACOM-approved recovery system for every up-armored humvee in the US Military. Each kit includes military specified equipment and hardware to create an all in one recovery solution for the humvee platform.

The unique Mile Marker hydraulic winch is a two-speed, submersible winch design. The patented control system is powered by the vehicle's power steering system, eliminating the need for a power take-off (PTO), often implemented in other hydraulic winch units.

By harnessing the reliable power of the power steering system, the Mile Marker hydraulic winch provides a continuous duty cycle. This power source also enables full use of the vehicle's drive train in the recovery process; this cannot be accomplished when using a PTO.

18,000lb hydraulic winch

Mile Marker has recently introduced its largest winch to date: the H18K hydraulic winch. Designed specifically for military applications, this 18,000lb hydraulic winch is a versatile platform. Harnessing either the vehicle's OEM power-steering system, PTO, or other auxiliary hydraulic supply, the H18K can provide 18,000lb of recovery power in as little as 4gpm at 1,500psi, but can handle hydraulic outputs of 15gpm at 1,500psi to maximize its capabilities.

The two-speed design, heavy-duty disk brake, and lightweight, submersible design meet SAE J706 standards. This winch is offered in both a short-drum configuration holding 96ft of ½in cable, and a long-drum configuration holding 168ft of ½in cable. These two configurations provide the best performing solution for large-frame vehicle applications, from tactical vehicles, to wrecker, and recovery/transport vehicles.

Additionally, just like every Mile Marker hydraulic winch, the H18k provides continuous-duty pulling power for an uninterrupted recovery in the most critical situations.
