Marshall SV - Military Vehicles and Deployable Shelters

Marshall Specialist Vehicles (Marshall SV) is a division within the Marshall Group of companies, based at Cambridge, in the United Kingdom.

Since 1946, Marshall SV has supplied the international defence market with over 90,000 vehicle bodies and more than 5,000 tactical shelters in over 200 different configurations, and designed and manufactured over 9,500 DROPS / PLS flat racks.

DEPLOYABLE SHELTER SYSTEMS

The shelter systems manufactured and currently supported at Marshall SV are mobile field hospitals for military and civilian use, armoured vehicle mobile repair facilities, mobile C4I facilities, secure communications and ground station platforms, UAV and ISTAR ground station shelters.

For many years Marshall SV has maintained the position of a leading provider of mobile battlefield systems, designing, developing and manufacturing a wide range of military deployable shelter systems.

MATRIX DEPLOYABLE SHELTER

With the development of the Marshall Matrix deployable shelter as a design type, Marshall SV now has many hundreds of Matrix deployable shelter systems in service with military users throughout the world.

The Matrix deployable shelter is supplied for a wide range of applications, including mobile field hospitals, command and control facilities, mobile radar installations, field maintenance units, and tactical ground stations.

MILITARY VEHICLE ENGINEERING

The production capability of Marshall SV is centred on the large-scale production of vehicle bodies, components, DROPS / PLS racks and commercial vehicles. Our skills are directed toward vehicle engineering consultancy, design, manufacture and the through-life support of our products.

MSV has successfully applied these skills to the development of vehicles and systems for national resilience and homeland security programmes.

More recently, Marshall SV has expanded to include a new manufacturing facility at Mildenhall, the UK, for the production of 6,500 vehicle bodies for the new UK MoD support vehicle programme. The facility will provide a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and efficient large-scale production capacity.

IN-HOUSE INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT

The design team at Marshall SV works closely with customers to refine user and system requirements, with a view to developing operational and product concepts providing exceptional value for money solutions. A wide range of state-of-the-art tools is used to develop solutions to meet the challenging performance specifications required by military customers.

The in-house Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team is closely involved throughout the design process to ensure MSV products are supportable and maintainable throughout their entire service-life.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS DIVISION

Research and development, concept design, systems integration, and new market ventures are all capabilities of the Marshall SV advanced systems division.

Areas currently under investigation include communications and sensor systems integration design; installation, design and certification of communications systems; development of low-cost UAVs; ruggedisation of commercial electronics for military application; human-factor impact; safety; and trial support.

PRODUCT SUPPORT

The Marshall SV Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) capability not only covers the company's own scope of supply, but can also be extended to cover third party and legacy equipment through to whole-fleet support.
