Potential Contract Value $1.73 Billion Over Ten Years.

GMA Cover Corporation announced today that the U.S. Army has awarded the company a contract for the production of the Ultra Light-Weight Camouflage Net System (ULCANS). The static, multi-spectral camouflage nets offer improved concealment for vehicles and field positions by masking visual, thermal, near infra-red and radar signatures. The entire contract is potentially worth $1.73 billion over ten years. GMA's first delivery order is for $20.2 million.

"This is a tremendous day for GMA. We are thankful for the Government's confidence in GMA and we are proud of the opportunity to continue to serve the U.S. military," said Brian Keller, President of GMA. "The ULCANS contract award serves as an acknowledgement of our strong capabilities in design and advanced manufacturing, as well as our expertise in signature management technologies. GMA is honored to be entrusted with helping to protect our soldiers in the field."

GMA will manufacture ULCANS in its Port Huron, Michigan facility, providing the US Army with a second source for the multi-spectral camouflage nets. This contract win will also have a positive impact on the local economy as GMA will expand manufacturing operations to include the hiring and training of staff for the specialized, technically sophisticated production of the ULCANS system.
