Fabricated and integrated shelters

Burtek is a leading provider of fabricated and integrated shelters. Burtek can provide any type of shelter, from a basic shell to a fully-integrated, C4ISR headquarters. Additionally, Burtek can provide shelters which are mobile or ground-based, and which are available with basic EMI protection or with full HEMP protection.

Antenna platforms and pallets

Whether a design calls for a simple truck-mounted radar platform or a full-blown radar platform, pallet, operations shelter, and trailer transport system, Burtek can meet or exceed all customer specifications, needs, and requirements. Our ability to provide world-class manufacturing and assembly capabilities, such as those demanded by the US Army’s enhanced AN/TPQ-36 (EQ-36) Counterfire Target Acquisition Radar program, are representative of Burtek’s overall expertise.

Customised trailers and transport systems

Being a provider of specialized military equipment, Burtek can design, engineer, manufacture and assemble trailers and transport systems to fit any requirement. Burtek can provide anything from simple 30ft, over-the-road, militarized commercial trailers to customized, off-road-capable, 80,000-pound GVW, steerable, goose-neck, bob-tailed, low-boy trailers in any length needed.

Special operations fighting vehicles and militarized transport vehicles

As well as being manufacturer, assembler and integrator of highly technical and complex military equipment, Burtek has a great deal of experience converting HMMWV’s (Humvees) into customized special operations vehicles capable of withstanding the rigorous duty cycles found in today’s global defense and security environments. Additionally, Burtek has militarized and shipped thousands of rugged transport vehicles to Iraq and Afghanistan, all of which have performed very reliably in the field.

Special integration-intensive vehicle projects

Burtek’s ability to rapidly design, engineer, and assemble highly sensitive and integration-intensive vehicles allows us the opportunity to respond to our customer’s most demanding requirements with timeliness and efficiency. Tasks which prove to be too daunting for many lesser contractors, like the Mobile Radiation Portal Monitors used by the Department of Homeland Security, are Burtek’s forté.

Military vehicle engineering and design services

As well as being manufacturer, assembler and integrator of highly technical and complex military equipment, Burtek also provides complete engineering, design, and analytical services, from concept to build. Burtek provides design and engineering services using ProEngineer Wildfire Three and Auto CAD. Additionally, we provide finite element analysis (FEA) services. Burtek performs FEA on most structures we design. Finite element analyses can be linear static or non-linear dynamic, based on application needs. From simple stress analysis to explosion-proofing and deformation analyses, Burtek ensures our customers will receive the most reliable product possible.
