RD Taylor is a major stocking distributor of an extensive range of market leading and MOD/DOD approved adhesives, sealants, lubricants, paints, coatings, propellant chemicals, tapes, abrasives and associated materials extensively used and specified throughout the land services.

Supplying both directly to the MOD and to all major contractors, we are fully conversant with the specifications associated with these materials, including NSN references. RD Taylor can satisfy the required quality assurance and traceability demands of the army, as well as offering full technical support for all products.

Approvals held include AS9120:2002 and ISO9001:2000, along with approved supplier status to Rolls Royce, Goodrich, Selex, Raytheon, Airbus, MOD, Bombardier, Thales and Lockheed Martin.

Adhesives

RD Taylor is a major distributor of adhesive materials from Henkel Loctite, Huntsman Araldite, 3M, Hysol, Bostik, ITW Devcon, Emerson and Cummings. Product ranges include acrylics, anaerobics, cyanoacrylates, epoxies, methacrylates, polysulphides, polyurethanes, resins and UV curing. Associated primers and curing agents are also available, from the smallest pack size to the larger bulk systems.

Sealants

Used for a wide variety of applications, our ranges of RTV sealants and two-part silicones from ACC Silicones, Dow Corning, Bostik, Momentive, and polysulphide sealants from leading sources are amongst a range of NSN coded products we supply. High temperature, fuel resistant, re-enterable, self levelling, fast cure, thermally conductive, electrically conductive and environmentally resistant are just some of the properties of our RTV sealants, silicone and polysulphide products. A range of silicone and acrylic conformal coatings for electronic equipment protection, as well as resin encapsulation products for more rugged applications in both electronic and mechanical applications, are manufactured by Electrolube, Devcon and Huntsman Araldite and readily available.

Lubricants

Lubricants including oils and greases, anti-friction coatings and release agents, cartridges and barrels, our products from Shell, Aeroshell, Molykote, Castrol, Mobil, Rocol, Fuchs and numerous other manufacturers are used in numerous military applications, including munitions lubrication and protection.

Paints and coatings

From the latest generation of water-based paints to established primers, polyurethane and acrylic top-coats and speciality coatings including chemical agent resistant coatings (CARC), IR, thermal masking, anti-static and conductive, we can supply products for applications such as interior and exterior coatings for ground equipment, vehicle protection and camouflage, as well as materials for equipment protection during manufacture and transportation.

Propellant chemicals

As an authorised distributor for MACH-I and 3M we have the ability to support a range of materials used in the manufacture of propellants in the munitions sectors.

Tapes and abrasives

From surface protection tapes to single and double-sided adhesive tapes, our ranges from Maskoff, 3M, SCAPA and other market leading manufacturers have applications in body-armour manufacture, vehicle MRO, equipment protection and transportation. During both OEM and MRO, our ranges of abrasives and polishing materials from 3M and Micro-Surface (Micromesh), are widely specified.
