Peli™ Products Expands its Manufacturing to Europe

Peli™ Products, EMEA headquarters of Pelican™ Products, (a leading global manufacturer of high-impact, watertight Protector™ cases), has started up manufacturing operations in Europe in order to meet increasing global demand.
The European facility is located in Crottendorf, Germany and will work in tandem with their 18,600 square meter plant in Torrance, California to manufacture six of their most popular Protector Case models (1400, 1450, 1500, 1520, 1550 and 1600). Peli's forecast calls for additional models to be produced at this new facility in 2008.
These goods will be delivered to all European Union, central Europe, Russia and former Soviet Republic countries. "Starting up production operations in Europe not only makes sense for our European customers but for Pelican as an organization, as it will be quicker and less expensive, so it's a win-win situation for all," says Lyndon Faulkner, Peli Products President and CEO.
The European facility will incorporate the same stringent quality standards that the company has in Torrance. "The only difference our European customers will notice is that their case orders will arrive in half the time. We look forward to seamlessly providing the same quality that they've come to expect from Peli products," adds Faulkner.

The company offers more than 40 case sizes to choose from with their largest model having nearly 230 liters of possible storage space. To ensure easy and immediate access, most cases feature double-throw latches that have been tested to a failure threshold of nearly 181 kilograms, but open with a light pull. Stainless steel reinforced padlock protector holes are also featured for added security.
Additional standard features include a lid equipped with a polymer O-ring for a dust and waterproof seal, and an automatic Gore-TEX® pressure equalization valve that stops moisture from entering the case and prevents vacuum-lock so the case easily opens at any altitude. Proprietary fully customizable Pick 'N' Pluck™ foam is also included with most models.
