The Slovak Army is progressively developing its combat and peacekeeping methodology and systems to bring it into line with its new NATO partners and to further enhance its UN peacekeeping capabilities.
As part of this process, the Army has recently taken delivery from RUAG Electronics of a second batch of SIMLAS Man Worn Tactical Effects Simulation and Combat Identification Systems. This follows a first delivery of SIMLAS in 2001 for the Slovak Rapid Response Battalion based in Martin.
RUAG is now well placed to provide further support to the Army for its planned development of a Manoeuvre Training Instrumentation System and enhanced Urban Operations training facility at the Lest training centre.
