Merger of RUAG Electronics’ Simulation & Training Division with SINTRO Electronics

Two leading simulation & training companies have as of 1st of May 2002 merged their business, in order to provide customers with Total Training Solutions.
RUAG Electronics’ simulation & training division, is specialised in advanced technology for the military market in the live and virtual simulation domain. For more than 20 years RUAG is a leading supplier of training systems for the Swiss Army. RUAG is pride to be the single contractor to maintain all simulators of the Swiss Army.
SINTRO Electronics with over 30 years experience and a highly qualified team is specialised in individual simulator training solutions as well as continuous after sales, on site support.
United we can serve and attend to our customers even better, especially in large-scale projects. With the synergies created by this strategic merge, the 'new' RUAG Simulation & Training Division is in the pole position to provide customers with Total Training Solutions, such as computer based training, simulator based training, live combat training, simulator maintenance & upgrade, training centre responsibility, support & logistics etc.
The 'new' RUAG Simulation & Training Division develops and manufactures virtual and live training systems for land based weapon-systems, such as small arms, armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles, main battle tanks, air defence systems and trucks, from the individual soldier up to brigade level. We are convinced that through these steps we are national as well as international substantially strengthening our position to the benefit of the customers.
The legal conditions of the two companies RUAG Electronics and Sintro Electronics remain until the end of year 2002 the same. By the January 1, 2003 Sintro Electronics will be legally merged into RUAG Electronics.
RUAG Simulation & Training Division is a part of the RUAG Holding with more than 4000 employees and annual sales in excess of $750 millions.
