AIS have a proven track record as a range design consultant and contractor for specialised shooting ranges and training facilities, involving multi-disciplined and complex turnkey requirements. Through our team of shooting range designers, architects, project managers and engineers we work closely with the end user to analyse training needs in order to design and deliver effective training facilities.

The design of shooting ranges and training complexes is developed through schematic and outline proposals; full and detailed drawings and equipment specifications; tender documentation and contract supervision. As an independent management service, unbiased advice is guaranteed.

The professional project management team undertakes the contracts for all construction, services and support projects. Projects vary from range refurbishment to construction and fit-out of major military and police training complexes.

MILITARY TRAINING FACILITIES

JUDGEMENTAL AND TARGETRY SIMULATION SOLUTIONS

AIS provides judgemental and targetry simulated training systems for both video Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) and virtual reality. The products available comprise video and CG based close quarter judgemental simulators that can be used with either live or laser fire using converted or facsimile weapons.

Full authoring of the software content can be carried out by the end user to tailor training programmes to their individual needs. AIS offer both off-the-shelf and bespoke services for the conversion of small arms weapons to support our simulators.

The SVS™ virtual reality simulators are aimed at tactical training particularly in the Nuclear, Biological And Chemical (NBC) environments. The PRISim™ system uses video scenarios to develop judgemental skills for law enforcement, military, security and special forces agencies.

SHOOTING RANGE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

AIS offer a comprehensive shooting range maintenance service for all types of military and law enforcement outdoor and indoor ranges. From small 25m ranges to urban training areas AIS can provide the expertise to operate, deploy and maintain all types of target equipments including pop-up and turning target mechanisms, moving target systems, and thermal target systems.

Our specialist skills ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum and that maximum utilisation is gained from the equipment and facilities. AIS is able to supply spares and service for most types of targetry in use today, assist in reducing through-life costs and help ensure the smooth operation of infantry, armour and aircraft training ranges. AIS also have a team of specialist technicians who are able to assist in setting up training scenarios, manage day-to-day range operations and assess maintenance needs.
