VioTac - Lightweight Tactical Cameras

Since its inception in 2000, Viosport has been the leading innovator in helmet camera technology. In response to the demand from military, law enforcement, and homeland security agencies and to meet the needs of tactical professionals; Viosport created a line of wearable video technology under the VioTac brand in 2005.

The same ruggedness and versatility found in the Viosport product line can be found in VioTac products. We work hard to design high-quality wearable video imaging with specifications to meet the rigors of tactical use. Our R&D department is working to further enhance the vertical integration of wearable video technology and tactical gear.

RUGGED MOUNTED CAMERAS IN THE FIELD

Lightweight, rugged cameras mounted on the clothing, helmets, or weapons of soldiers in the field provide highly detailed and accurate accounts of battle situations without interfering with a soldier’s ability to respond.

Cameras mounted on personal weapons can measure the eye movements of an individual soldier, ensuring that he keeps his eyes fixed on the target. Attempted attacks can be captured on video, allowing military officers to study footage to develop a response to similar situations that may arise in the future.

Soldiers can also attach cameras to vehicles during drive-by site observations in order to scout out a site’s entryways and layout for future mission planning.

S.C.O.U.T. CAM – MOUNTED TACTICAL CAMERA

The S.C.O.U.T. Cam (Security, Combat, Observation, Undercover, Tactical) is our first product designed specifically for the military market. With technology superior to any other helmet cam on the market, the S.C.O.U.T. Cam is a high-resolution camera with 520 TV lines and the Sony Ex-View CCD chip. Multiple interchangeable lenses and neutral density filters (sun-shades) allow you to get the perfect shot in a wide-range of conditions.

The S.C.O.U.T. is in use by military personnel around the globe. Common uses for the camera are:

The S.C.O.U.T. Cam can be mounted to helmets, weapons, and vehicles. It has a coiled cable for better strain relief and is fully compatible with our complete line of accessories. Its connection is simple, its technology is superior, and its versatility makes it a perfect choice.

Lightweight cameras mounted on your helmet or weapon are easy to use and add a whole new dimension to the briefing room. The S.C.O.U.T. Cam has a non-reflective anodized coating and an optional zoom lens to see and record as much as possible.

The standard S.C.O.U.T. Cam ships with 1ft 3.5mm A/V cable, 1ft RCA A/V cable, battery holder, universal mount and tool kit.

A complete package is also available containing an Archos AV500 30GB Personal Video Recorder (PVR), 12V rechargeable battery pack and Archos 1ft AV cable.
