The DX 4/40 (bw/color) is the first of the new generation of KAPPA digital cameras.
With its 2/3" sensor it offers 1384x1032 pixels, 15fps, standard Camera Link interface, low noise 61 dB, 12-bit signal processing, external triggering, binning (2,4 and 8fold), restart/reset and much more.
Like all KAPPA cameras, the models of the new generation are rugged and power-thrifty cameras that feature sophisticated electronics and advanced circuitry. Their range of functions can be adapted to the requirements of the customer, who can also choose between various sensors, from VGA to mega pixel resolution.
Their design, which allows for them to be fitted into small, cubical housings (60x60x47 cm), and their availability as camera modules make them the perfect choice for OEMs and integrators. Together with the KAPPA ImageBase software, they can be used for measurement engineering, process automation and scientific diagnostics. An easy-to-use SDK for user-specific programming is also available. The color versions also feature new, integrated real-time color processing that relieves the PC's processor, allows for higher frame rates and provides crisp images with true color rendition.
Another model of the new generation of digital cameras is the DX 100 with 1000x1000 pixels and 30fps.The cameras available with rugged design according to civil aviation standard (RTCA/DO-160D) and similar standards (shock, vibration, temperature) of other industries.
