Britannia 2000 - Specialist Video Surveillance Equipment

Britannia 2000 is an ISO9001:2000 accredited designer, manufacturer and supplier of specialist ruggedised video surveillance equipment, such as short and long-range cameras, analogue and digital wireless transmission systems, rugged monitors and computers, and complete vehicle design and integration for military, police, emergency services and intelligence applications.

With an emphasis firmly on service, Britannia 2000 has developed long-term partnerships with customers, providing the capability to offer either bespoke products, or complete systems.

Recent projects have included the design, integration and supply of fully equipped Command and Control Vehicles, which included the design and build of a vehicle from a chassis,. Internal equipment included a SatCom link, HF and VHF radios, field telephone exchange, Wireless LAN. and our own range of vehicle mounted camera systems and wireless video transmission systems.

Britannia is also UK distributor of night vision systems, EyeCams, illuminators and various other specialist equipment.

Rapid deployment surveillance system

PRONTO is the latest rapid deployment remote camera system, following in a long line of systems that originated in 1992.

PRONTO uses the latest technology RHINO wireless IP mesh network transmission system developed by Britannia 2000. This enables the user to control multiple cameras on a single RF channel, and also use each PRONTO camera as an automatic relay station so that a wireless network is automatically created simply by deploying the cameras in an area.

The IP system can be connected to a variety of existing systems, for example a 3G or SatCom data uplink, or an existing city centre IP infrastructure. The camera system is based on the UV90 colour / mono camera with a high efficiency IP codec and RHINO wireless integrated internally.

Airborne compact flash video recorder/ player

The all new 2744 Airborne CF Recorder/Player will record and play back high quality video and audio and will continue to record whilst playing back previously recorded sequences.

Using the latest high speed, high capacity CF cards, the 2744 will playback the video actually recorded on the solid state removable memory card itself, enabling operators to check that the system is operating correctly as part of pre-flight checks.

The unit records the video and audio onto the memory card as an MPEG2 bit stream, providing both the highest video quality and reliability available.

An optional NVIS filter can be installed for NVG compatibility.

Situational awareness, border surveillance and cameras

Britannia 2000 offers a wide range of cameras, varying from small, rugged cameras suitable for local situational awareness, to large, long range surveillance cameras, used for border patrol.

Equipped with the latest technology such as electron multiplied CCDs (EMCCD) to thermal Iimaging devices, the cameras are designed to withstand and exceed the demands expected by the military and are fitted to armoured vehicles and border surveillance towers alike.

Britannia 2000 also offers specialist cameras designed to attach to optics such as rifle scopes, spotter scopes and binoculars. These cameras are utilised as part of our sniper control system, which captures the image as viewed by the sniper team, and transmitted to the commander locally via the RHINO mesh network, or the video can be sent directly to the unit headquarters via 3G network.

The Britannia 2000 range of cameras are fitted onto military vehicles, fire fighting robots and in engine room monitoring,. As well as head up display and cockpit cameras. Britannia 2000 also supply gun bore-sight alignment cameras, radar bore-sight cameras, gun fire control cameras, class A EMC, EOD cameras, pan/tilts and, illuminators and helmet/ and weapon mounted cameras with remote transmission.
