Light, modularized and easy to assemble; with full protection from armour-piercing tungsten ammunition, artillery, and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Protaurius is the next generation of ballistic protection for both military and civilian applications.

Protaurius offers a new technology for protecting both people , and military and civilian installations. "The key to the system lies in is its patented ceramic granules that can be used either for indirect protection, for example in sandbags, or for direct protection in containers." says Protaurius CEO Johan SÖderberg.

When fired upon the granules quickly absorb the bullet or projectile's kinetic energy, rendering it unable to penetrate or ricochet. At points of impact, the crushed granules are replaced by intact granules, creating a system capable of tolerating repeated direct fire.

The system is certified for NATO-standard STANAG 4569 level 3 and is delivered either as a modularized kit or completely pre-assembled.

LOW TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP

Low weight and modular construction make Protaurius' defense system simple to use and assemble. The modular protective panels are delivered on a standard pallet, and the granules are delivered in sacks. On location, neither machines nor complicated tools are needed for assembly, which is easily completed by hand.

"When mounting on a container, for example, the protective panels are easily attached to the walls and then filled with granules. The modular panels are standardized to fit ISO-containers," says Johan Söderberg.

Due to its design and low weight, the system is well suited for rapid military operations and can be flown directly to the desired location.

The system is completely reusable. At the end of the mission, dismantle the modules and pour the granules back into the sacks for transport. This contributes to the low total cost of ownership.

Protaurius will be present in the Swedish Pavilion at MILIPOL in Paris, October 9-12.
