Mobile satellite communication terminals

SWE-DISH develops and manufactures mobile and highly portable satellite communication terminals that range from 0.9m up to 1.5m size antennas using Ku, Ka and X-band. Thanks to its antenna design, Gregorian offset antenna, efficiency gain is 20% compared to other antenna systems.

All SWE-DISH products are designed with the user in mind, and are highly portable, rugged, compact, and able to withstand rough conditions whilst remaining reliable in all situations. They are tightly sealed to keep out sand, dust and water, and rigorously tested to surpass the toughest environments and standards.

Suitcase, fly-away and drive-away antennas

Common modular system architecture

CommuniCase® Technology (CCT) is the platform for all future SWE-DISH products, incorporating modularity, flexibility and ease-of-use. CommuniCase® Technology includes a set of seven modules which can easily be changed for new system behavior. All modules are easily switched between systems, so a user can quickly remove the modem from a Suitcase® CCT90 and plug it into their Drive-Away CCT120. That same modem can also be used with all future SWE-DISH CCT systems, thus proving foward-compatible and highly cost-effective.

Each CommuniCase® module has a unique entity, so the software will automatically recognize a newly connected module and reconfigure settings such as azimuth range, amplifier power and modem type without user intervention. The number of CommuniCase® product variations and possible module combinations that can be built and used is impressive.

SATCOM on-the-move

SWE-DISH and world leading stabilized platform developer Saab systems have joined forces in developing a high performance SATCOM on-the-move terminal (four-axis antenna system) that enables broadband satellite communications with land vehicles and marine vessels while moving at top speed.

SWE-DISH changed the way the world looks at satellites with the introduction of the Suitcase® class of terminals. Small, ultra-portable and broadband-capable, the SWE-DISH IPT Suitcase® was the world’s first fully integrated IP terminal and the first of its type to be awarded IPSTAR and AsiaSat certificates, approvals from Intelsat, Eutelsat, Europe*Star, Hispasat, and a license from the FCC.

The Suitcase® family comprises of:
