IDEX 2009, the largest defence exhibition in the Middle East, has proven extremely successful for unival.
With a strong focus on the latest blast protection technologies, unival presented its new FPGA controlled digital wideband jamming system in an armoured Toyota Landcruiser 200 during IDEX 2009 in Abu Dhabi. This system represents the latest and most powerful technology for protection against radio-controlled IEDs.
Unival has been showing their long-range explosive detection device SNIFFEX®PLUS, which is delivered to governmental clients and security companies around the world. SNIFFEXPLUS is able to detect all common explosives, as well as liquid explosives, from distances up to 100m, which makes it particularly suitable for international airports looking for technologies to help with explosives detection.
"Our company is the only company in the world that can provide detection methods, counter-measures and physical protection for mobile and stationary applications as an integrated turn-key protection concept," said managing director David Vollmar during a press conference at IDEX 2009.
The highlight of the show was the visit of his Highness Lt Gen Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's minister of interior, at the unival stand, where he expressed great interest in the unival product portfolio and its supply to the UAE during a personal presentation.
