LINE-X Franchise Development Corporation - Ballistic Protection and Blast Mitigation Coatings

PAXCON®, a strategic business unit of the LINE-X Franchise Development Corporation, was created in response to the demand for increased homeland security and anti-terrorism initiatives in the wake of the September the 11th World Trade Center terrorist attacks. Known for ultimate durability and protection, PAXCON force protection coatings have been recognized by the US military and the defense industry for their high levels of protection, and have been approved to safeguard government, military and private buildings and vehicles around the globe.

Currently, LINE-X offers two high-performance coating:

PAXCON PX-2100 BALLISTIC PROTECTION COATING

During a ballistic attack, most severe injuries and a significant number of fatalities are due to ballistic fragmentation or spalling. PX-2100 solves this problem by encapsulating the fragments, which will remain trapped in the Line-X coating, posing no secondary damage. PX-2100 can be sprayed over any surface hard enough to cause a projectile to spall, such as aluminum, ceramic or steel.

In 2007, PAXCON PX-2100 was certified by the HP White Laboratory, one of the oldest and most respected ballistic and research centers in North America. Moreover, PX-2100 was also selected for anti-spalling protection by MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle manufacturers, the Pentagon’s top military personnel protection initiative.

PAXCON PX-3350 BLAST MITIGATION COATING

In 1999, LINE-X’s blast mitigation product PX-3350 was statistically shown to outperform 27 other competitors in a series of tests conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory that were designed to identify the spray-on coating that could mitigate the effects of a bomb blast on a building. PX-3350 has been recognized by the US military and the defense industry for its high levels of protection, and has been approved for protection of the US Pentagon.
