SuperFlow Technologies Group - Military Engine and Transmission TestingFounded in 1972, SuperFlow Technologies Group is a worldwide market leader of military, high-performance, racing, and automotive testing and diagnostic equipment. Our equipment is used daily in military maintenance rebuild facilities, technical and military school programs, professional race shops, speed shops, by professional engine builders, leading automotive manufacturers, OEMs, tier-one suppliers, fleet operators, and transit authorities throughout the world.
SuperFlow Technologies Group comprises the proven Axiline, Hicklin, SuperFlow, and TCRS brands. SuperFlow now provides the most complete selection of dynamometers, flowbenches, and test and rebuilding equipment in the industry. HEAVY-DUTY TRANSMISSION DYNAMOMETERSHicklin transmission dynamometers are designed for heavy-duty transmissions for both inline and cross-drive applications. Additional options can test in-line, V-drive, and angle-drive configurations. The dynamometer will accommodate all sizes of power-shift and manual-shift off-highway transmissions including drop-box and remote-mounted configurations. With the correct control console, the Hicklin transmission dynamometer can test Voith, ZF, Renk, GM (military), and the entire family of Allison transmissions as well as others. The heavy-duty military applications provided by SuperFlow Technologies Group incorporate state-of-the-art direct electric drive technology for clean, quiet, and efficient input power. This efficient technology delivers full torque capacity from 0–4000 rpm, bi-directionally. Electric drives from 125–300 hp are standard. Custom drives up to 2,000 hp are also commonly used. BROAD RANGE OF ENGINE DYNAMOMETER TEST STANDSSuperFlow products have attained industry-wide acceptance because of our ability to reduce advanced engineering tests to simple procedures technicians can perform. Skilled engineers or novice technicians can operate virtually all SuperFlow automated dynamometers and other equipment with equal success. SuperFlow has manufactured more than 3,500 automated systems in the US and around the world. Systems consist of a sophisticated engineered test stand, numerous transducers and sensors, a Power Absorption Unit (PAU) most generally composed of water brake, eddy current, or water-cooled eddy current absorbers, and a computerized control console designed with the latest computer and software programs available. Units are programmed for automatic data collection and test cycles, data storage and printout, graph and chart programs, and self-diagnostics designed to user specifications. DATA ACQUISITION AND CONTROL FOR REPEATABLE, AUTOMATED TESTSSuperFlow makes Data Acquisition and Control (DAC) systems for our entire line of dynamometers. Our DAC system helps rebuilders verify their repairs and limit comebacks. SuperFlow’s Data Acquisition and Control (DAC) systems are used by OEMs, power train remanufactures; military rebuild facilities, professional race engine shops, and R&D facilities worldwide. WinDyn software is used with SuperFlow dynamometer data acquisition systems. WinDyn provides quick and easy test design and configuration, real-time data acquisition and display, convenient test data management and reporting. It lends a friendly user interface to the SuperFlow dynamometer’s electronic hardware system. WinDyn works on computers running Microsoft¬ Windows¬ operating systems and communicates with the dynamometer through Ethernet or a serial connection from the computer to the SuperFlow data acquisition hardware.
