Transmission equipment for tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles

Supplying several generations of British main battle tanks including the latest Challenger 2, David Brown has also manufactured, under license, the HMPT500 hydro-mechanical transmission for NATO's multiple-launch rocket system. Our product range encompasses manual and automatic steer and brake systems up to 1,500hp, final drives, ammunition autoloaders and air turbine pump drives for missile launchers. In addition, David Brown also has key references in the wheeled armoured vehicle market on medium and light vehicle platforms.

HMPT500 transmission for Tracked Armoured Fighting Vehicles (MLRS and Bradley families). David Brown performs repair and overhaul of the HMPT transmission under license for European and North American customers.


T300 PIP transmission for Tracked Armoured Fighting Vehicles (M113 and BMP2 families). David Brown designed, developed and delivered this transmission type for tracked APCs and AFVs.
