Zephyr - Remote, Wireless Physical Status Monitoring (PSM) for Defense Scenarios

Military commanders worldwide ask their human assets to deploy into hazardous and high risk situations as part of their job. Knowing the physical status of those assets in real-time can assist military commanders and medics to make better command and control (C2), and combat casualty care (CCC) decisions that can ultimately affect the outcomes of a mission, and the lives of those involved.

The Zephyr™ BioHarness™ sends vital signs and activity information to provide real-time physical status information via a simple Red-Orange-Green (ROG) status indicator. This physical status information is then clearly and intuitively displayed via Zephyr™’s OmniSense™ real-time viewing software on a tablet PC, PDA or mini-computer. This information can also be integrated with standard Blue Force Tracking software.

Zephyr™’s DPS 1000 system uses the same radio that is already being carried by personnel for voice communications, thus increasing soldier effectiveness, while minimizing weight and hassle.

Defense physiological system (DPS)

The DPS communicates through existing digital encrypted military radios, using VHF radio networks to send physical status information over short and long distances for better real-time C2 and CCC decisions.

First responder system (FRS)

The BioHarness FRS communicates through existing first responder digital radios, using standard first responder VHF radio networks to send physical status information over short and long distances. This vital real-time information enables better incident control, and ultimately better personnel monitoring and safety.

Software

Zephyr provides application specific software for PCs or PDAs, as well as Software Development Kits to allow partners to integrate Zephyr's solutions into their own systems.
