Revision Eyewear, developers of purpose-built eyewear for the military worldwide, proudly announces a new weapon in the war against battlefield eye injuries: the Desert Locust Goggle.
The Desert Locust Goggle is designed for extended use providing comfort, optical perfection, panoramic field-of-view and the ballistic protection that soldiers in today's hostile environments require and deserve.
"Battlefield eye injuries are at an all time high, and yet, as many as 90% of these injuries are preventable with the use of high-impact ballistic protection," Jonathan Blanshay, President of Revision Eyewear stated. "The focus behind all of Revision's eyewear products is to exceed military standards for ballistic resistance. Our latest addition to our line of protective eyewear, the Desert Locust Goggle is designed as an everyday goggle that provides maximum comfort, tactically superior field-of-view and unparalleled protection from becoming another battlefield statistic."
The Desert Locust Goggle offers high-impact protection with one-piece 3mm thick, optically correct polycarbonate lenses that protect the wearer's eyes from unexpected fragments. Built based on stringent military standards, the Desert Locust Military Goggle also features interchangeable lenses (clear for day or night use and solar for high-intensity sunlight), anti-fog and scratch resistant coating, UV-A, UV-B, UV-C protection from the harmful rays of the sun, and holds an Rx Carrier that is also compatible with the Revision Sawfly Spectacle. Other high-impact specialty and laser-protective lenses are available by special order.
The Desert Locust Goggle's low profile will not interfere with weapons' sights, binoculars or night vision systems and fits securely over the various helmets in use around the globe. Lightweight, with a strong, virtually unbreakable yet flexible frame, the Desert Locust Goggle's adjustable elastic head strap keeps the eyewear firmly in place while providing maximum comfort for extended wear. The Desert Locust Goggle is available in foliage green, desert tan and black and comes in its own case with an anti-reflective sleeve and micro-fiber lens storage pocket which can also be used as a cleaning cloth.
The Desert Locust Goggle production units will be available for distribution through our Williston, VT facility in June 2006.
