Revision Eyewear Concludes Latest Round of Financing

$4 million private placement to further develop Revision facilities in Vermont
WILLISTON, VT, May 10, 2005 – Revision Eyewear, developers of purpose-built eyewear for military, law enforcement and tactical clients worldwide, today announced that it has closed a $4.1 million round of equity financing with existing and new private investors.
In February, Revision’s Sawfly™ Military Eyewear System received Forces Command (FORSCOM) approval, which officially permits all units of the US Army to purchase and use the product. Proceeds from this new financing will be largely dedicated to the expansion of Revision’s US operations, allowing for increased production to meet the expected demand.
Revision’s 8,000 square foot Vermont facility, located at 87 Holly Court in Williston, is the headquarters for serving US military, law enforcement and tactical markets. Operations including product customization, global logistics and international customer service are based at this location. Over the coming months, Revision will continue to add manufacturing and assembly capacity, product testing and new research initiatives. Staffing will also be increased to support these new activities.
“The accomplishment of our financial objectives has been synchronized with our US growth strategy,” said Jonathan Blanshay, President, Revision Eyewear. “Immediate and longer term capital and human resource investments will make our Williston facility into Revision’s global center for manufacturing, quality assurance and testing, logistics, distribution and customer service. Thanks to recent FORSCOM certification, we expect our Vermont team to be very busy and anticipate hiring a number of new employees in Williston before the end of the calendar year,” Mr. Blanshay added.
