MSA - Personal Protective Equipment

US military forces have trusted MSA since World War I to provide the best in personal protective equipment, as generations of soldiers have worn MSA gas masks. In recent years, our military forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have trusted MSA's battle-tested Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) and MICH™ communication system.

MSA's ACH has been adopted as standard issue for all troops deploying to the Iraq / Afghanistan operations theatre, and is credited with saving soldiers' lives during combat. MSA Paraclete's products have been proven under fire, leading the industry in high-quality protective equipment and tactical gear systems.

SPECIALIZED BALLISTIC PROTECTION

With today's increasing need for specialized personal protection, MSA has invested significant resources toward our research and engineering capabilities, including three ballistic testing chambers. THE MICH COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

MSA has developed the lightweight, comfortable and easy to use MICH communication system. The MICH communication system uses an unobtrusive microphone / sound transmission system to interface with radio transceivers and intercom systems. The system integrates fully with MSA's advanced combat helmet. An additional convenience is that the single-communication system allows hands-free use of the radio.

NOISE REDUCTION EARMUFFS

MSA also produces noise reduction earmuffs, suitable for a range of hearing protection applications such as situations of confined space noise. Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is third-party certified in accordance with ANSI S3.19-1974, EN352.

Our top model provides optimum protection with high amplification, AUX input and watertight battery compartment. Both earmuffs are shaped to suit both right-handed and left-handed shots.

EYE PROTECTION GOGGLES

Protect your eyes comfortably from a variety of hazards with the MSA sun, wind and dust goggles. These goggles feature a soft rubber frame with snap-in polycarbonate clear, tinted and laser-protective lenses.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION MASKS

When the US Air Force detracts a risk of chemical warfare attack, respiratory protection is required and it turns to MSA for the reliability and durability of the MCU-2/P chemical-biological mask. The MCU-2/P mask has proven to be the respirator of choice for the Air Force as well as other US Government agencies, including the US Navy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Coast Guard, to name a few.

The MSA Responder Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) system is ideal for first responder, military and special operations personnel who need non-IDLH respiratory protection for an extended period of time. The MSA Responder PAPR combines an industry leading motor-blower with a choice of two proven MSA gas mask CBRN face pieces and three proprietary cartridges designed for CBRN, particulate and poisonous gases / vapors.

THERMAL IMAGING CAMERAS

Traditionally, in high temperatures, many thermal imaging cameras flash to 'low sense' mode and produce an image of much lower quality. However, MSA's Evolution 5200HD2 TIC offers increased image resolution from 80,000 pixels (nominal), with best-in-class image quality from four times the picture elements. It also provides a 38µ pixel pitch (smaller pixels), meaning more pixels and better image quality.

The camera has high sensitivity with high-image definition over the widest temperature range up to 320ºF versus competitors with a temperature range below 200º F. The Evolution 5200HD2‘s ISDR is 4701, meaning that it provides you with clearer, sharper, more detailed images in all temperatures.
