KATA is an Israeli producer and supplier of body armour vests, soft and hard ballistic inserts, ballistic helmets, tactical vests, and military backpacks. KATA also designs and develops specialised protective equipment for elite military and law enforcement units.

BALLISTIC BODY ARMOUR VESTS

KATA's ballistic body armour vests are practical, comfortable, and fully adjustable. Their shape and design provide freedom of movement without compromising the maximised protection area.

KATA's ballistic body armour vests are available in stab resistant, fragmentation resistant, and low and high-velocity projectile resistant configurations.

KATA's vests are offered with ballistic protection, in accordance with NIJ ballistic resistance of personal body armour standard 0101.04, of:

• NIJ level II
• NIJ level IIIA
• NIJ level III
• NIJ level III+ (level III plus 7.62X39 API, 7.62X39 mild steel core, 5.56X45 M855 [SS109] and 5.56X45 M193)
• NIJ level IV

KATA's ballistic body armour vests are also offered with level I, II, and III ballistic protection in accordance with NIJ stab resistance of personal body armour standard 0115.00.

Ballistic body armour vests from KATA meet HG1/A, HG1, HG2. SG1 and RF1 PSDB body armour standards for UK police ballistic resistance, and KR1 (+SP1), KR2 (+SP2) and KR3 (+SP3) PSDB standard knife and spike resistance.

BALLISTIC HARD-ARMOUR PLATES

KATA offers a complete line of high-performance steel, ceramic, lightweight innovative ceramic and polyethylene hard ballistic plates which fit all KATA vests.

Rigid hard-armour plates can be used either in conjunction with soft armour panels, or as stand alone products. They cover the back and front parts of the body with an advanced human engineering concept for protection against high velocity bullets.

Rigid hard-armour plates are available in various sizes, from 25cm x 30cm, to the specially designed full body anatomical plate.

Plates can withstand 9mm, 0.357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, 7.62X39 mild steel core, 5.56X45 M855 (SS109), 5.56X45 M193, 7.62X39 API, 7.62X51 M80 (NATO ball), and 0.3 calibre M2 AP ammunition.

BALLISTIC HELMETS

KATA's ballistic helmets are made of the most advanced composite materials, offering cost-effective, high-ballistic performance.

The ballistic helmets meet all international standards, and undergo constant shock, impact and other QA tests. Lightweight and comfortable, they can be worn for extended periods of time.

Ballistic helmets provide NIJ-STD 0101.06 level IIA and II, NIJ-STD 0101.04 level IIIA, and MIL-STD 662F and STANAG 2920 V50 protection.

TACTICAL COMBAT VESTS AND MILITARY BACKPACKS

KATA offers a large variety of tactical combat vests and military backpacks, all developed from the extreme needs, requirements and experience of the IDF.

All tactical combat vests meet the strictest Israeli military quality tests, and are light, durable and ergonomic. They offer optimal weight distribution around the upper torso.
