All our vests are produced to certified standards, NIJ (US), HOSDB (UK) and German Schutzklasse.

• UK (HOSDB Std): HG1A, HG1A/KR1, HG2/KR1, HG2/KR2/SP2

Our level IIIA vest has a fragmentation resistance (V50) of 555m/s.

Whether in the form of overt body armour, covert body armour or armoured life vests, we offer a variety of solutions to suit individual needs and specific threat levels.

ARMOURED LIFE VESTS

Designed for use in a marine environment, the bulletproof life vest incorporates an inflatable collar giving 175N or 275N of buoyancy. This collar is detachable and allows the vest to be worn in a non-marine environment. Unlike conventional body armour, the ballistic resistant armour used in the Jack Ellis life vest is not affected by moisture / water and retains its full protective properties, even when soaked.

TACTICAL RESPONSE VEST

The tactical response vest for police and military use is ballistic resistant, stab resistant, fragmentation resistant and blunt trauma resistant, all in one vest. Ballistic collar and groin protection are optional. Anatomically designed for optimum wearer comfort; the spacer fabric lining allows for long periods of wear with minimum discomfort.

COVERT BODY ARMOUR

The covert bulletproof concealable vest offers protection to the highest level for those whose need is to be discreet or non-threatening. Available as a ballistic only vest, or as a combined stabproof / bulletproof vest.

OVERT BODY ARMOUR

Overt ballistic and anti-stab vests are available in a variety of styles to suit all operations. From simple commercial security-guard vests, to full tactical-response vests for military personnel and police tactical firearms teams. Overt body armour can be supplied with optional ballistic collar and groin protection.

PRESS VEST

The press vest is anatomically designed for optimum comfort and mobility, the comprehensive body protection gives ballistic, stab and fragmentation protection for personnel in hostile environments, this design has adjustable collar and groin protection.

HARD ARMOUR PLATES

Jack Ellis offers a variety of solutions against rifle threat that incorporate hard armour plates. Ceramic or lightweight PE plates are available to be used in conjunction with the level IIIA vests to give protection against AK47 7.62 x 39 AP and API and 7.62 x 51 NATO ball and 7.62 x 54 steel core.

BALLISTIC HELMETS AND FLEXIBLE BALLISTIC SHIELDS

We supply lightweight ballistic helmets to protection level IIIA. Flexible ballistic shields are also available; disguised as suit carriers and offering a large area of protection from fragmentation and small arms fire, they are ideal for close protection personnel.
