ESS AWARDED MAJOR SINGAPORE ARMED FORCES CONTRACT

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) awarded Contract No. KP0619-20705 to Eye Safety Systems Inc.(ESS) of Sun Valley, Idaho USA, via their Singapore agent, Ryca Pte Ltd. The exclusive one-year contract with available option year, announced in March 2007, is for the supply of the ESS Asian Fit Striker™ goggles. The SAF has instituted the Asian Fit Striker goggle with SSN 8465-32-080-3321.

The decision was the result of two years of careful trial, evaluation, and development. ESS produced a unique combination of impact protection, anti-fog technology, interchangeable lenses (smoke gray and clear), and integration with existing equipment (helmet, NVG, and weapon sight). These factors, along with the new Asian-fit lens and frame design, comfort, ease of fit and adjustment, and visibility were major factors in the trial and evaluations.

The Singapore Police Force also procured the ESS Asian Fit Profile TurboFan™ goggle via solicitation #HOMSPFETQ07000064 in February 2007.
